Racing

Mike Ingham has won about 30 National and Continental Championships in diverse One Design boats such as keelboats, Catamarans, and dinghies

Championships including:

 -2X US Sailing Championship of Champions

-9X Thistle Nationals

-3X J24 North Americans

-3X J24 Europeans

-JY 15 North American Champion

-Tornado National Champion

-US Sailing Team Member

-US Sailing's Rolex Sailor of the year finalist

-Collegiate All-American and team captain for Cornell University.

Coaching

The US Olympic Committee awarded Mike the "Order of IKKOS" honor and US Sailing awarded mike "Coach of the Year" for coaching the US Paralympic team to a Silver Medal in the 2016 Rio Games.  He competed for the USA on the US Sailing team sailing Olympic Class Tornado Catamaran and was training parter for the Silver Medalist in the '92 Barcelona Games.  


Most recently he had been working for US Sailing coaching the Woman's 470 and Nacra 17.

Currently he coaches a wide variety of sailors from beginners to seasoned veterans to Olympic hopefuls.

Coaching is online or in person.

Personal

Mike lives in Rochester, NY with his wife Delia.  When he is not traveling the World Coaching and Racing he is involved in the community.


Spearheaded the "Rochester Kiva City", collaborating with the Mayors office to utilize the Kiva crowd sourced micro-financing platform to help fund  small business that are typically not financeable through traditional channels


President of the Greater Rochester Amateur Athletic Federation, a 501C3 supporting local Olympic and Paralympic athletes


Serves on the board of Rochester Venture Jobs Foundation, a non profit organization fighting poverty by funding startups


Entrepreneur.  Mike started a successful Computer board design business using Yale University's incubator


Electrical Engineer degree from Cornell University


Mike and his wife are parents of 3 children, a Search and Rescue Helicopter Pilot for the US Coast Guard, a student majoring in Analytics, and a staffer for the City of Rochester on a Kiva Poverty Initiative
