Mike was US Sailing's Coach of the Year for his work with the US Paralympic team. He worked with the team full time, culminating in World Championship and a Silver Medal in the 2016 Rio Games. He competed for the USA on the US Sailing team sailing Olympic Class Tornado Catamaran and was training parter for the Silver Medalist in the '92 Barcelona Games.
Most recently he had been working for US Sailing coaching the Woman's 470 and Nacra 17.
Currently he coaches a wide variety of sailors from beginners to seasoned veterans to Olympic hopefuls.

Mike lives in Rochester, NY with his wife Delia. When he is not traveling the World Coaching and Racing he is involved in the community.

Serves on the board of Rochester Venture Jobs Foundation, a non profit organization fighting poverty by funding startups

Mike and his wife are parents of 3 children, a Search and Rescue Helicopter Pilot for the US Coast Guard, a student majoring in Analytics, and a staffer for the City of Rochester on a Kiva Poverty Initiative
